Sadari Theatre Company’s When His Watch Stopped Working compassionately confronts the difficult theme of war. Using masked performance, mime and imagery, it tells the heart-wrenching story of a young couple in war-stricken Korea, struggling through traumatic times and dealing with love, loss, and the very personal price of war.
Approaching the subject from the perspective of a child’s understanding, the production addresses the reality of the subject with superb theatrical ability and interpretation.
When His Watch Stopped Working is a visually powerful production that encourages discussion and gently addresses the anxiety, fear and hope of children affected by war. The finale is one of the most genuinely moving moments of hope you will experience this year.
